Not All Fiberglass Pools Are Created Equal!

Based on nearly 20 years in the swimming pool restoration industry, I can recommend only one fiberglass pool manufacturer unconditionally. The finest fiberglass pools manufactured in the United States are San Juan Pools. Refinishing will not be required (under normal conditions) for about 30 years.

On the other extreme are the two worst pool manufacturers located in the U.S. These pools will often require refinishing within 3 to 4 years after installation.

In between these two extremes are the balance of the fiberglass pools manufactured in the U.S. Typically, a reasonably cared for fiberglass pool will need new gel coat every 20 years.

Fortunately, this problem is now easily solved with Fibre-Shelkote ^tm vinyl ester resin and swimming pool gel coat, made specifically for fiberglass swimming pools, spa's, hot tubs, sliding boards. and baptistery.

Any pool owner willing to put forth the effort can make their old fiberglass pool look like brand new again.
